Privacy Policy
Effective July 15, 2026
This policy explains what Treasure Valley Food Trucks (“we”, “us”) collects, why, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it. The Site is operated by Great Escape Web & Business Services, LLC. Questions: info@treasurevalleyfoodtrucks.com.
1. Information you give us
- Catering requests. Your name, email, phone number, event address, event type and date, start and end times, whether it is indoors or outdoors, the number of guests, who is paying, and a description of the food you want.
- Contact messages. Your name, email, and message.
- Newsletter signup. Your email address.
- Event submissions. The event title, description, location, town, dates and times, and any photo you upload.
- Vendor accounts. Your email and password, your truck name, and whatever you put in your listing — description, address, phone, catering email, menu, hours, photos, and map location. Listing information is published on the Site by design.
2. Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics on every page. It sets cookies and collects your approximate location, device and browser, pages viewed, and how you arrived. This tells us which trucks and pages people look at. See Google’s privacy policy and Google’s opt-out add-on.
- Facebook feed. Our home page embeds our Facebook page feed from Meta. When that box loads, Meta receives your IP address and information about the page you are on, and may set or read Facebook cookies — whether or not you have a Facebook account, and whether or not you click anything in it. Meta may use this for its own purposes under its own policies. See Meta’s privacy policy. Blocking third-party cookies, or a content blocker, will stop it loading; the rest of the Site works normally without it.
- Server logs. Our host records standard request data, including your IP address, for security and reliability.
- Maps. Our maps load images from OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address as part of loading them.
- Address lookup. When a vendor types an address into their dashboard, we send what they type to Photon (operated by Komoot) to suggest matching addresses.
We do not run ad networks on the Site, and we set no advertising cookies of our own. The embedded Facebook feed is the exception worth knowing about: cookies Meta sets through it can be used to recognize you on other sites, which is outside our control.
3. How we use and share it
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We use what we collect to run the Site, and we share it as follows:
- Catering requests go to vendors. When you submit a catering request, the details you entered — including your name, email, phone number, and event address — are emailed to food truck vendors with active listings on the Site, so they can decide whether to quote you. Multiple vendors receive it, and they can reply to you directly. Vendors are independent businesses; once they have your request, their use of it is governed by their own practices, not this policy. If you would rather approach a single truck privately, use the contact details on that truck’s page instead of the catering form.
- Contact messages and event submissions are emailed to us, and event submissions are published on the Site if we approve them.
- Newsletter. We use your email to send the newsletter you asked for. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.
- Vendor listings are published publicly, including any photos, menu, address, and phone number you enter.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
- Business transfer. If the Site is sold or merged, information may transfer with it.
4. Service providers
These companies process information on our behalf so the Site can function:
- Supabase — database, file storage, and vendor account authentication.
- Vercel — website hosting and server logs.
- Stripe — vendor subscription payments. Card details go directly to Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number. Stripe handles that information under its own privacy policy.
- Resend — sending email, including confirmations and notifications.
- Google Analytics — usage measurement.
- Meta (Facebook) — the embedded Facebook page feed on our home page, as described in Section 2.
- OpenStreetMap and Photon (Komoot) — map images and address lookup.
5. How long we keep it
We keep catering requests, contact messages, and event submissions for as long as we need them to run the Site and keep a record of what was sent. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Vendor accounts and listings are kept while the account exists, and for a reasonable period afterwards for records and backups. Backup copies may persist for a period after deletion.
6. Your choices
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any newsletter email.
- Access or delete. Email info@treasurevalleyfoodtrucks.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We honor these requests regardless of where you live. We may need to verify who you are first, and we may keep what the law requires us to keep.
- Vendors can edit or remove most listing information directly from the dashboard at any time.
- Analytics. Use Google’s opt-out add-on above, or your browser’s cookie controls.
Note that content already published — for example, a live listing photo or an approved event — may remain in copies described in the Terms of Service.
7. Security
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections, and access controls. No website is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to us. If we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.
8. Children
The Site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email info@treasurevalleyfoodtrucks.com and we will delete it.
9. Do Not Track
We do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals, because there is no common standard for them. You can still opt out of analytics using the controls in Section 6.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new effective date here, and give notice of material changes. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
